The Sanctuary

Left side

From below the right-hand end of Cairn Sector (Breakfast at Safeways etc.) drop down below the concrete posts and turn left to reach this pleasant face. The Sancturary features some of the best quality rock for easy sport climbing in the Peak District. Towards its left-hand side are four relatively short routes.

Easier of two left-hand lines

Direct line with hollow flake. New belay added.

Pleasant face, named after local security man!

Via bulge and then rightwards to belay.

10. Ichabod (5+)
Awkward finishing bulge.

Fine climbing via faint rib.

Squeezed in but good just to the right.

Just left of obvious flake/corner.

Climb the wall via brown streak.

Hard through overlap with tricky wall below.

Takes the right side of overlap.

Excellent shallow groove. Slightly bold.

Has a tricky wall to finish.
